How it works
Asked once, answered for good
Before day one, Sticky interviews the people who do the job, by voice or text, and writes the role playbook from their answers. From then on, every question goes round this loop.
Each time round the loop, the playbook answers more by itself, and fewer questions reach your experts.
Ask
Your new hire asks Sticky first.
Any first-week question, in their own words.
Answer
The playbook answers, with its source.
Each answer shows who it came from, so they can check it.
Not in it yet
Sticky asks the right expert, once.
Only what the playbook can't answer reaches a person.
Written back
The answer goes into the playbook.
Your new hire gets it now. The next person gets it from Sticky.
Week one
New on Monday. Productive by Friday.
A sample sales team: Sara leads the team, Lena is in HR. A new hire's first five days, both ways.
Monday
Without Sticky:
Gets the whole handbook as a PDF and a folder of links. Reads all day, remembers little.
With Sticky:
Asks Sticky what to do on day one. Gets the plan, with its source next to it.
Tuesday
Without Sticky:
Can't find who signs off on a discount. Asks Sara.
With Sticky:
Asks Sticky who signs off on a discount. The answer comes from Sara's interview.
Wednesday
Without Sticky:
Asks Sara again, how to log a call in the CRM this time. She's in a meeting, so the new hire waits.
With Sticky:
Asks about yearly benefits. They aren't in the playbook yet, so Sticky asks Lena in HR, once.
Thursday
Without Sticky:
Sara stops her own work to explain it again, the way she did for the last new person.
With Sticky:
Lena's answer is in the playbook now. The next person who asks gets it from Sticky.
Friday
Without Sticky:
Still looking for the right person to ask. Sara lost part of her week too.
With Sticky:
Spent the week on the work. Sara spent it on hers.
